We started our day at a cozy Japanese cafe, chatting about the cultural differences between Japan π―π΅ and New Zealand π³πΏ before heading on one of the most unique adventures you can have in Tokyo: visiting a Japanese Love Hotel. π³π©
This love hotel had insane themed rooms, from luxury suites to wild fantasy setups that you can only find in Japan.
Brief History of Love Hotels in Japan:
Love hotels first appeared in the 1960s, offering couples a private space in a country where most people live in small homes with little privacy. Over the years, theyβve evolved into a huge part of Japanese pop culture, with over 30,000 love hotels across the country today. Many are famous for their creative themed rooms, ranging from romantic escapes to over the top fantasy experiences.
To end the day, we tried Japan only McDonald's menu items, including some you wonβt believe exist! ππ
